Our world leading stab protection panels can take a hit from an axe with no penetration. Force used was what could be expected from someone striking at the upper body during an attack. The demo was done with the stab panels on a very hard surface so impact is a lot more significant as there is no give whatsoever, compared to if the stab vest with panels were being worn against the body.
